A Wisconsin August Sunset

I've been really impressed by other photo blogs on the web where the photographers started in film. I'm gonna try to get back to some more pure film type shooting techniques. In other words, thinking more about the exposure and using the manual mode. Digital photography has made many of us too lazy. We set the camera to auto-exposure for the entire scene and then adjust the Raw files in Photoshop without ever giving a thought to shadows and highlights during capture. Anyway...rant over. This photo for example only required a simple curves adjustment in Photoshop. It's basically straight out of the camera.

Oh, and a few of the blogs I'm referring to are here: mysteryme, PIXstenZ, and smudo
